PRODUCTION of a documentary about the life and career of Ed Sheeran is in the works.

In an interview with the UK tabloid The Sun, the singer said that “we are shooting a documentary at the moment about my life, and there was a big conversation about what we include.”

The Grammy-award-winning artist has been on tour for most of 2022 to promote his latest record, ‘=’, (the tour has been dubbed as the Mathematics Tour due to the 31-year-old artist having released albums with titles that represent mathematics symbols).

His tour began in April in Ireland and will tentatively conclude in September 2023 in Los Angeles.

No other details have been released so far but Sheeran described some of the parameters that his team is keeping in mind as to how much of his personal life will be included in the documentary.

“As long as it is honest, and it links in with a theme of something that is in a song – there is no point in putting something in if it is detrimental to my life.

“It is a very fine line, it is why I live in Suffolk and not in LA. My life as a celebrity is turned on when I am in New York, but at home, I am a friend, a dad, a husband, a son,” Sheeran continued, about finding a balance between his career and personal life.

“You can’t bring celebrity baggage home.”

Sheeran has appeared on screen before, most notably with a brief cameo on HBO’s wildly popular Game of Thrones and playing a fictionalised version of himself in Danny Boyle’s Yesterday – a love letter to The Beatles. – The Vibes, October 26, 2022
