KUALA LUMPUR - Primary school students will have to undergo Covid-19 self-testing beginning this week.

In a video posted on his Facebook page today, Education Minister Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin explained that 10% of students will be chosen every week to perform these self-tests at home.

The self-test kits, he said, will be provided by the schools.

These self-test kit, he said will be provided by schools while students will be selected at random.

Adding further, Radzi explained that the Health Ministry agreed to these procedures to ensure the school session would remain smooth.

He also urged parents to carry out the self-tests according to the correct procedures.

“If not done according to correct procedures, it is not only selected children who would be affected but other pupils and teachers too.

“Thus, it is crucial to start this procedure of Covid-19 self-tests, and parents play an important role to make sure these tests are done properly according to SOPs set by the Health Ministry,” Radzi added. – The Vibes, January 11, 2022
