A BILL from a KTV nightclub in Kuala Lumpur close to RM100,000 which has since gone viral has left many shocked.

A whopping amount of RM97,760.65 was spent in just 30 minutes during the outing on June 27 at 11.28pm.

The bill was paid at 12.03am and has since drawn attention due to its unusually high tax charges.

Three bottles of Louis XIII cognac were the highlight of the night costing RM78,888.

Other charges included RM300 tips each for staff and Public Relations Members (PRMs), adding the bill to RM82,948.00.

The bill’s amount alone came to a subtotal of RM82,948.00, and when a 10% service charge and an 8% SST charge were added, the final amount ballooned to RM97,760.60.

While some defended the splurge, saying it’s the spender’s prerogative, others questioned whether the high-end cognac was intentionally overpriced to rake in profits.

Others questioned whether the visit was worth nearly RM100,000, while others criticised the high SST rate applied to entertainment services. – July 5, 2025
