said it will begin selling tickets for its new Kuching–Kuala Lumpur route, with promotional one-way fares from RM375 (one-way) all-inclusive for Economy Class ahead of the service’s commencement on July 20.

This marks another significant milestone in the airline's efforts to enhance air links between Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia, as well as expand access to various domestic and international destinations.

The new service will operate twice daily between Kuching International Airport (KCH) and Terminal 1, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA1), and is believed to strengthen Kuching's role as a strategic gateway, offering better convenience and connectivity to tourists and business travellers.

This special "Sarawakku Sayang" fare includes all charges for one-way Economy Class tickets and starts from RM736, including all charges for one-way Business Class tickets.

The fares, which include airport taxes and fuel surcharges, will be available for booking starting at 7 am today (July 7), while flights will commence on July 20, 2026.

According to its Chief Executive Officer, Megat Ardian Aminuddin, the opening of ticket sales for the Kuala Lumpur route is a significant milestone for AirBorneo’s growth, which in turn strengthens Sarawak’s air connectivity with the rest of Malaysia and international destinations.

“Kuala Lumpur is a strategic gateway that opens up wider access to domestic and international destinations, thus creating more opportunities in the tourism, trade, investment and business sectors,” he said.

The introduction of the “Sarawakku Sayang” fare is part of that commitment to make air travel more accessible, while supporting Sarawak’s aspirations to strengthen air connectivity, develop the tourism sector and boost sustainable economic growth.

AirBorneo’s inaugural commercial flight on 20 July 2026 will operate on the Kuala Lumpur–Kuching route, with 100 seats for the public.

The twice-daily scheduled service between Kuala Lumpur and Kuching will commence on 21 July 2026, with flights departing at 7.10 am and 1.00 pm from LTAK to KLIA1, while from 9.45 am and 3.35 pm from KLIA1 to LTAK. – July 7, 2026
