Travel technology company Arrivia and KrisFlyer, the lifestyle rewards programme of Singapore Airlines Group, have expanded their partnership to introduce cruise redemptions, allowing members to use miles for sailings worldwide.

The new offering, branded as KrisFlyer Cruise, enables members to redeem miles across more than 30,000 itineraries operated by over 40 global cruise lines, marking a significant expansion of KrisFlyer’s redemption ecosystem beyond air travel.

Major cruise operators available under the platform include Royal Caribbean International, Disney Cruise Line and Princess Cruises, with itineraries spanning key destinations globally, including Southeast Asia and Australia—regions seeing growing demand for cruise holidays.

Under the enhanced programme, members can fully redeem cruises using KrisFlyer miles or opt for a combination of miles and cash, providing greater flexibility in accessing higher-value travel experiences.

Members will also continue to earn two miles for every US$1 spent on cruise fares, reinforcing an integrated earn-and-redeem ecosystem within the same category.

Arrivia International Chief Operating Officer John Williams said the move reflects a broader shift towards experiential travel.

“This partnership is about giving KrisFlyer members more meaningful ways to use their miles.”

“Cruises represent one of the fastest-growing and highest-value travel categories, and by offering cruising as a redemption option, we are enabling members to access more rewarding experiences while driving stronger engagement within the programme,” he said.

He added that the platform, supported by dedicated cruise specialists, is designed to simplify access to cruise travel and enhance the overall booking experience.

The launch comes amid sustained growth in the global cruise sector. In 2025, the industry recorded a record 37.2 million passengers worldwide, representing a 7.5% year-on-year increase, with momentum expected to continue, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region.

With the integration of cruise bookings, KrisFlyer is positioning itself as a more comprehensive lifestyle rewards programme, offering members a seamless travel journey that extends beyond flights to end-to-end holiday experiences at sea. – June 8, 2026
