THE Lexus RX luxury SUV is one of the most significant models in Lexus’ 30-year history.
The original RX, launched in 1998, was a unique proposition in its day, an SUV that was luxurious, comfortable and easy to drive, in particular in urban environments where conventional SUVs at the time were more rugged vehicles and little sedan-like comfort.
It was an instant success and inspired a new generation of luxury, comfortable, well equipped SUVs from almost all auto manufacturers.
Recently we saw the arrival of an Aston Martin SUV, the DBX.
Global success
Across two decades, Lexus has constantly improved the RX, which quickly became its worldwide best-selling model.
Cumulative global sales to date have reached an impressive 3 million units.

In Malaysia
The 4th generation fully imported from Japan RX arrived in Malaysia in November 2015 and was priced from RM388,000 to RM520,000.
Its immediate rival was the 2019 launched BMW X5 xDrive40e, which enjoyed the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) tax incentives and was able to get a sticker price of just RM390,800.
Now with this latest version of the RX arriving when the PHEV tax incentives have reduced, the latest 2020 model BMW X5 xDrive45e is priced at RM440,745.
This 2021 Lexus RX 300 Luxury Special Edition is priced at RM421,909.50 on the road without insurance which makes it more attractive to Malaysian buyers.

Here is the latest
Distinguished by an exclusive aerodynamic body kit, the new Lexus RX 300 Luxury Special Edition captivates with a sportier outlook through its new front bumper spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper diffuser.
This revised Lexus RX has endeared itself as the SUV of choice as it too shares the Lexus breeding and attention to detail that rewards drivers and passengers.
Regarded as one of the most refined and sophisticated all-purpose vehicles on the market, the Lexus RX boasts an impressive level of sophistication and craftsmanship that can be appreciated the moment you step in.

High safety continues
This Lexus RX continues to be equipped with the latest in Lexus’ arsenal of safety features, particularly the Lexus Safety System + (LSS+).
These include the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) and the Adaptive High-Beam System (AHS) as some of their key features.
The Lexus RX’s AHS further comes with the world’s first BladeScan where blade-shaped mirrors in the headlights spin at high speed to vary the throw of the light away from other road users while creating good illumination elsewhere.

Choose your colour
The Lexus RX Luxury Special Edition will be available in four main colours namely Sonic Quartz, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black Glass Flake and Red Mica Crystal Shine. – The Vibes, January 13, 2021
