KUALA LUMPUR – PETRA Lifestyle, the food & beverage, entertainment and hospitality unit of the PETRA Group hosted the launch of V’s Whisky and Cigar Lounge (V’s Lounge) for influencers and members of the media yesterday.
Located at Menara Amplewest Kuala Lumpur, it is located just above another of PETRA Lifestyle’s premium offerings, Zenzero Restaurant and Wine Bar. The event, which was attended by H.E. the Italian Ambassador to Malaysia, Massimo Rustico as the guest of honour, marks another milestone in PETRA Lifestyle’s aim to provide a full dining, entertainment and hospitality experience.
“V’s Lounge came to fruition through the vision, tenacity and perseverance of Datuk (Dr) Vinod Sekhar, the Chairman and Chief Executive of PETRA Group. Everyone who knows him knows how much he loves his whiskey and cigars and he loves to entertain.
"And what better way to enjoy these pleasures in life than to have a place such as V’s Lounge to sit back, relax, and be entertained with family and friends,” said Roberto Guiati, president of PETRA Lifestyle.

V’s Lounge is not the typical whiskey and cigar lounge, as the establishment has been curated to provide a unique and prestigious entertainment experience to customers.
Besides providing an array of carefully crafted food, including imported fresh oysters and premium caviar, there is also an extensive beverage selection, which includes over 100 premium whiskies, a line of signature cocktails made by some of the best mixologists in the country and an exquisite selection of French and Italian wines.
V’s Lounge also provides a private dining area, where guests will be served with two customised set menus. A four-course menu called “LeTradizioni” the famous signature dishes of Zenzero and a five-course menu called ‘The Evolutions’, prepared exclusively by Zenzero’s executive chef, Paolo Petris.
The grand opening was also a chance for guests to have a glimpse Zenzero’s new location with a spacious green alfresco dining area where guests can admire views of the KL Tower.
“As V’s Lounge is located right above Zenzero, the intention is to provide a complete and wholesome dining and entertainment experience to customers.
"Guests can either go to V’s for pre-dinner drinks or after their meal at Zenzero, guests can move upstairs for a more relaxed ambience to enjoy good whiskey, wine or some of our exclusive cocktails while being entertained by live music and performances for a truly great night out,” added Guiati.
Guests at the grand opening were also treated to an eclectic mix of entertainment with performances by Malaysian songstress and UK chart-topper Dasha Logan, rock band Wan and The Crafters, led by singer and guitar virtuoso, Wan Noorazifee, as well as a stand-up comedy set by Mad Sabah who left the guests in stitches with his expertly delivered one-liners.
“It was always our aim at PETRA Lifestyle to be different from the rest of the crowd. V’s Lounge is meant to set the benchmark of what a whisky and cigar lounge should be. We are certain that we can offer a prestigious experience like none other to all our patrons,” said Guiati.
Besides live in-house entertainment comprising various genres of music, the stage at V’s Lounge will also host the who’s who in stand up comedy, at what is set to be the go-to nightlife entertainment outlet in Kuala Lumpur. – The Vibes, December 15, 2021
