KUALA LUMPUR – V’s Bar, a whisky and cigar lounge under PETRA Lifestyle, has been recognised at Malaysia’s Top 30 Bar Awards 2022.

The awards are a platform to recognise and raise the standards of bars and beverage service in the country.

At V's, guests can enjoy fresh, imported oysters and premium caviar, as well as expect an extensive beverage selection.

There are over 100 premium whiskies and a line of signature cocktails made by some of the most talented mixologists in the country. In addition, there is an exquisite selection of French and Italian wines.

PETRA Lifestyle president Roberto Guiati said winning the award was truly an honour.

“Winning an award like this within our first year in operation is a great recognition and all of us are highly motivated by it.

"The recognition has also given us great passion to continue providing a wonderful dining and entertainment experience for all our customers,” he said.

Located at Menara Amplewest Kuala Lumpur, V’s Bar is just above Zenzero Restaurant & Wine Bar, also under PETRA Lifestyle.

Incidentally, V’s Bar came to fruition out of PETRA group chairman Datuk (Dr) Vinod Sekhar’s love for whisky, cigars and entertaining.

Top 30 Bars Awards managing director Alvin Sinclair said that the awards were created to identify and enhance the standards of the country’s leading bars.

"As Malaysia’s Top 30 Bar Awards will be an annual occurrence, it encourages the previously awarded bars to maintain a certain standard of knowledge, creativity, and service to make it into the following year’s list,” he said.

The rankings and awards are exclusively based on a poll of over 50 bar enthusiasts, beverage influencers and industry experts.

The 2022 award programme kicked off with the nominations of 220 bars listed throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

A total of 100 bars were shortlisted. A group of industry-selected juries evaluated the bars to make the final cut of 50 bars.

The full list of Top 30 bars was presented at the final gala, held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Malaysia’s Top 30 Bar Awards is presented by Chivas Regal with other partners. They include Martell, Jameson, Heineken, Guinness, Absolut, Beefeater, The Glenlivet, Lillet, GH Mumm, Perrier, Monin, Fiji Water and Umai. – The Vibes, September 21, 2022
