BACHOK – Villa Danialla Beach Resort in Kandis on Jalan Tok Bali will be made available to potential buyers who should be able to continue the legacy of the tourism centre here in a better and more sustainable manner.

The villa, which has been operating for the past 15 years, attracts domestic visitors and foreign tourists, including Europeans.

Villa Danialla Beach Resort managing director, Datin Seri Haflin Nazri Aziz, 39, said she was reluctant to give up on the villa, which had been founded by her late mother, Datuk Siti Hamidah Hamat.

Haflin is the wife of Datuk Sri Nazri Aziz, Padang Rengas MP.

However, she said the decision had to be made for several reasons, including a lack of sufficient time to manage the operations of the resort.

“Because of that, I want to find buyers who have extensive experience in managing resorts because I don't want them to be wiped out just like that.

"I want to see Villa Danialla continue to operate even when I am no longer the owner," she said sadly, when met by our Malay-language sister portal Getaran here.

It is impossible to not be a little sad to see Villa Danialla go on sale, especially because of all the hard work done in the wake of her mother's death, building the resort from the ground up to be famous all over the country.

"The villa is built on 3.4 hectares of land with 79 rooms, two halls and an Olympic-sized swimming pool, with a value of RM24 million.

"The location of this villa is very strategic and is known to many because its location is by the famous beach in Kelantan. Therefore, I want to find buyers who are truly experienced and have a vision to continue to develop this villa and continue the business legacy," she said.

According to Haflin, Villa Danialla is not just a resort, but a monument for her and her siblings because it was built entirely using the salary of the late Siti Hamidah, while serving in the corporate sector.

"I saw my mother's perseverance in developing this villa 15 years ago without taking any loans, and she was even willing to quit her job in Kuala Lumpur in order to give full attention to Villa Danialla.

"Mother not only handled the operation, but all the big trees at the entrance were also planted by the both of us to make this area more beautiful," she added, reflecting on some sweet memories.

Haflin started off with only 20 rooms, with Villa Danialla once being rented by Russians working in Gong Kedak, Terengganu. before bringing the room total to 79.

“Mother's relentless efforts have made Villa Danialla very famous, coupled with its location on the shores of Tok Bali Beach, it really offers its own beauty.

“It’s not easy to let all this go and that’s why I’m really careful in finding buyers. I'm worried that my mother's legacy is erased if the sale is made carelessly," she added. – The Vibes, March 18, 2022
