AS I approached the Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain 3.0 Turbo Diesel, in the new Dolomite White Pearl colour, its striking presence commanded my attention. The sleek lines and rugged design hinted at the incredible power that lay beneath the hood.

Intrigued, I took a step closer, eager to explore what this formidable machine had to offer. The spacious interior welcomed me with leather seats, adorned with intricate stitching. As I settled into the driver's seat, I noticed the thoughtful design of the dashboard, which presented easy accessibility and navigability.

Centrally positioned was a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supported Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, seamlessly integrating my favourite apps for an enhanced driving experience.

The infotainment system also plays a crucial role in safety, integrating the latest safety technologies with ease. The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) acted as a vigilant co-pilot, ensuring I stayed in control at all times.

Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking are just a few of the features that help to prevent accidents.

Navigating crowded parking lots was also a breeze with the X-Terrain's parking aids. A 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors provided me with comprehensive views, making tight parking spaces a thing of the past.

The X-Terrain's prowess extended beyond paved roads, as its four-wheel drive system granted exceptional traction, allowing me to tackle any terrain with confidence. For steep inclines and declines, the hill descent control system ensured a controlled descent, keeping me safe on challenging off-road adventures.

When the sun set, the X-Terrain's powerful LED headlights illuminated the path ahead, providing enhanced visibility and reducing the risk of accidents during night time driving.

Isuzu's commitment to safety extended to the X-Terrain's construction, its sturdy frame and robust build providing exceptional protection to occupants in the event of a collision.

Equipped with an anti-lock brakes system (ABS), the X-Terrain delivered responsive and reliable braking performance, minimising stopping distances and maximizing safety.

Isuzu's electronic stability control system ensured the X-Terrain maintained stability, especially during sudden manoeuvres or challenging driving conditions.

This feature was essential for maintaining control and avoiding accidents.

The X-Terrain featured a comprehensive airbag system, including front, side, and curtain airbags, providing an additional layer of protection to all occupants in case of a collision.

Changing lanes became safer with the X-Terrain's blind-spot monitoring system that detected when a vehicle was approaching and warned through the side mirror and beeping to warn of accidental lane changing without using the signal light.

With a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine pumping out 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, the D-Max X-Terrain effortlessly conquered any terrain.

But power alone wasn't enough – Isuzu had equipped this beast with an arsenal of safety features to ensure a secure journey.

For 2023, all variants of Isuzu D-Max’s model are equipped with Rear Differential Lock to make sure the pickup truck has the traction to get out from difficult obstacles when traveling or off-roading. It can even wade through 800mm of water to allow the driver to navigate water crossings with confidence.

With a price tag ranging from RM94,949.20 to RM150,938.40 (without insurance), any prospective owner will have a highly innovative, sophisticated, safe and capable truck wrapped in a very handsome and modern design.

Overall, the Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is a triumph of design, engineering, and safety. It combined luxury, power, and safety features in a perfect package that would make any driver feel confident and in control.
