THE thing about anxiety attacks is that there is no telling what type of events could trigger it.

A woman recently took to social media to share her harrowing experience of being stuck alone in an elevator for almost an hour.

TikTok user @thepocahontas said she had taken a lift from the third floor of her apartment in Subang Jaya to leave for work.

She said the lift suddenly began shaking and then stopped.

“I began panicking and immediately called my parents, then the fire department.

“I was also frantically pressing the emergency button for help. My phone line was also erratic,” she said.

The woman said she eventually fainted due to the anxiety and distress.

“When the lift doors opened, I was taken to a clinic as I lacked oxygen and was also in shock,” she said.

Numerous netizens who saw the video also related their experiences, with some saying they always used the stairs even if it took much longer.

Others also expressed their concern and wished her well. – The Vibes, December 1, 2023.
