A RECENT viral video showing a teacher slapping a student in public has sparked a debate over the limits of instilling discipline in schools.

The video was apparently taken during a school event and the teacher is seen slapping the student in front of everyone.

The video has been shared on X, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

Internet users questioned the need for such a drastic move by the teacher and whether it was necessary to slap him on stage.

One social media user said the teacher should not have embarrassed the student in front of everyone, while another said such incidents only made the public lose faith in teachers. – The Vibes, December 16, 2023.
