DATUK Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was reportedly rushed to hospital after he was found unconscious this morning.

The 65-year-old former prime minister was rushed to the Sunway Medical Centre Kota Damansara at 2.30am today.

According to reports in Utusan Malaysia, Ismail’s press secretary, Azran Fitri Rahim confirmed the incident and asked the people to pray for him.

"He was found unconscious. I urge everyone to pray for Ismail Sabri’s speedy recovery, Insya Allah.

"Yes it is confirmed, but I do not have any further information,” he told Utusan Malaysia.

It is believed that Ismail Sabri’s condition was precipitated by high blood pressure.

The former Umno vice-president is reportedly stable and is resting in the hospital.

Ismail Sabri served as the ninth prime minister from 2021 to 2022. -  February 22, 2025
