THE public has been urged to be wary of fake social media accounts impersonating His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

The accounts also use images of the Johor royal family without permission.

"The public is advised to stay alert and not be deceived by these fake accounts, which scammers use for fraudulent activities on Facebook and other social media platforms," said the Johor Royal Press Office.

The office also warned that impersonation and identity theft are criminal offenses.

"Stern action will be taken against those involved," it said. - February 23, 2025
