THE administrator of a Facebook group called 'Rumah Ibadat Haram Dibina Dimana Hari Ini?' has been summoned by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

The Facebook group which is believed to have surfaced after the Dewi Sri Pathrakaliamman temple issue in Kuala Lumpur is for members to identify temples which have been allegedly built illegally.

The MCMC notice which was shared by preacher Firdaus Wong is addressed to the administrator identified as 'Tamim' asking him to be present at their office in Cyberjaya at 8pm today.

According to the Facebook, anyone who wants to report an 'illegal temple' must first get the exact coordinates and picture, then using the app MyLot, verify the lot number.

The person is then asked to make a complaint via the Respons Rakyat app or directly via the Public Complaint Management System (SISPAA).

Lastly, they are required to upload a picture of the report in the Facebook group’s comments section with the #1hari1report  hashtag for reference.

At the time of writing, the Facebook account was still active, and members were still seen posting. – March 27, 2025
