A FAMILY is appealing to the public to help locate a university lecturer, Haslina Abdullah, who has been reported missing since before Aidilfitri.
According to family members, Haslina, 52, was a lecturer at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (Unitar), Kuala Lumpur, and went missing after her husband, Jafri Ab Rahman, 53, dropped her off at the university at 8.30am on March 28.
According to reports, she has been unreachable and her whereabouts remain unknown.
"We are very worried about mother's safety.
"Suddenly, she disappeared without a trace, and we really hope someone can help find her," said her daughter, Ainon Atikah Jafri.
A police report has also been lodged, and the family has urged anyone with information or who has seen Haslina to immediately contact them or the authorities.
Her eldest son, Mohamad Zuljawalil Ikram Jafri, 30, said his father was supposed to fetch Haslina at the Sentul Timur Light Rail Transit (LRT) station at 4pm that same day, but she never showed up.
"All our calls and messages were also unanswered.
"We had earlier planned to return to our hometown in Temerloh for Hari Raya after picking Haslina.
"We also searched every floor of Unitar with the management but could not find her," said Jafri.
After exhausting all avenues to find her, the family lodged a missing person report at the Sentul Police Station.
Haslina also suffers from a thyroid condition, which can sometimes lead to fatigue and depression.
On the day she disappeared, she was wearing a black headscarf and dark-coloured clothing.
