THE husband of the woman who died after she was allegedly thrown out of a van near the Awan Besar rest area along the Kesas Highway has been arrested.

In a statement, Cheras police chief Aidil Bolhassan said that the 50-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday at 6pm in Taman Kinrara, Puchong.

"The suspect admitted to being involved in the case. He said that there had been an argument between him and his wife on their way home at the time," he said.

Investigations showed that he tested positive for drugs and that he had prior police records for criminal and drug-related offences.

Witnesses on Tuesday told police that the 44-year-old victim had been thrown out of a van around 2.30pm.

Medical personnel from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC) later arrived at the location and confirmed the victim had died at the scene.

Aidil said the victim was identified as a 44-year-old woman from Menglembu, Ipoh. – May 7, 2025
