KING of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim and the Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah have extended warm wishes to all educators in Malaysia in conjunction with National Teachers’ Day.

In a royal message, Their Majesties paid tribute to the noble role of teachers, describing them as “extraordinary individuals” who impart knowledge without expecting anything in return, all in the service of building an excellent society.

“Without teachers, there is no knowledge; without knowledge, our path is shrouded in darkness. Teachers are the light that guides us towards a brighter future, the King said in a Facebook post today.

“Thank you to all teachers for your service and sacrifice, whether in urban centres or rural areas—your dedication will always be remembered.”

Their Majesties’ message serves as a reminder of the enduring value of educators in nation-building and the importance of honouring their contributions across all corners of the country. - May 16, 2025
