BARISAN Nasional (BN) continues to champion enduring democratic values, advocate inclusive progress, and nurture the spirit of national unity, which has flourished across generations since the coalition’s founding.

Marking BN’s 51st anniversary, its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reflected on the coalition’s historical role as a unifying political force that has embraced diversity and steered the nation through times of change.

“Alhamdulillah, today marks the 51st year of Barisan Nasional—a political platform that has weathered historical tides and remains steadfast as the backbone of our nation-building efforts,” he said in a Facebook post.

“For over half a century, BN has embodied a vision that transcends division, bringing together Malaysians under one banner in pursuit of a peaceful, prosperous and resilient Malaysia.

“In the storm of changing times, as global currents shift and political winds alter course, Barisan Nasional has stood firm and unshaken.”

The Deputy Prime Minister also extended heartfelt appreciation to party members, grassroots machinery, leadership at all levels, and loyal supporters who have stood by BN through both triumphs and trials.

“Your loyalty is the heartbeat of our strength. Your spirit is the lifeblood of this struggle.

“May this 51st anniversary serve as a moment of reflection and renewal, inspiring us to move forward with confidence as we weave a more meaningful chapter in our nation’s story. May our struggle continue to be blessed and guided by divine wisdom. Hidup Barisan Nasional!” he said. - June 1, 2025
