THE Teluk Intan Magistrate's Court today issued an arrest warrant against the owner of a lorry company involved in an accident that killed nine Federal Reserve Force (FRU) members.

The decision was made after the owner failed to appear in court for the prosecution process today.

The court set July 29 for the mention of the arrest warrant.

In the accident at 8.54 am on May 13, nine FRU members were killed while nine others were injured after the truck they were travelling in collided with a tipper lorry which was believed to have entered the opposite lane.

On June 13, Transport Minister Anthony Loke reportedly said that the lorry company operator involved in the accident involving a Federal Reserve Force (FRU) vehicle on Jalan Chikus-Sungai Lampam, Teluk Intan, would be dragged to court.

He said that at the same time, the victim's family can also take civil action against the company to obtain appropriate damages and compensation. – June 24, 2025
