THE co-founders of eHati International Sdn Bhd, a company offering relationship and emotional wellbeing programmes for women, have denied recent allegations questioning the content and integrity of their workshops.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Diana Tahir and Rahim Shukor said that eHati’s initiatives are designed to help women achieve happiness, heal from emotional trauma, and regain peace of mind through techniques based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
“Our programmes guide participants through effective emotional management methods,” they said. “Some modules are tailored for married women who may be facing challenges in their relationships, including confusion about their own bodies and emotions.”
Addressing claims of incorporating tantric massage techniques, the pair clarified that the methods in question were adapted from a combination of pelvic floor therapy and traditional Thai massage.
“These techniques have been reworked to align with local values and do not involve any religious rituals,” they said. “Participation in such modules is optional and not mandatory.”
The clarification follows social media allegations that two women performed a nude dance at a recent eHati event held at a convention centre in Shah Alam, Selangor. It was also alleged that participants were given a drink with unknown contents that altered their mood and were instructed to take part in what was described as a ritual bath symbolising rebirth, raising concerns of religious overtones.
Additional claims suggested that the company had previously conducted similar programmes in Bali, Indonesia, allegedly involving improper practices.
In response, Diana and Rahim explained that what was described as a ritual was in fact a “breathwork session”, and that the floral decorations used were provided by the hotel venue, not intended as part of any ceremonial activity.
They also confirmed that legal action would be taken against those spreading defamatory claims and that a police report was lodged last Saturday to prompt a full investigation.
“We have also reported the matter to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and are ready to cooperate fully,” the statement added. - July 15, 2025
