Malaysians have been cautioned against engaging with a fake TikTok account impersonating the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Her Royal Highness Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

In a statement published via the official Facebook page of the Kesultanan Pahang on Wednesday, the palace confirmed it had detected an account operating under the name ‘Tengku Ampuan Pahang’ which falsely claimed to represent the royal consort and was posting unauthorised content in her name.

“Tengku Ampuan only has an Instagram account, which is private,” the statement clarified.

The palace stressed that all verified information regarding royal engagements, statements and activities is issued exclusively through the official digital channels of the Pahang Royal Household, including its main Facebook account, which currently has around 728,000 followers.

Other official platforms—Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X—are registered under the name Kesultanan Pahang, and the palace’s official website remains istanapahang.my.

The public has been urged not to fall prey to fraudulent social media accounts and to rely only on authenticated sources when seeking updates related to the Pahang royal family. - July 24, 2025
