Time for us to correct Sabah’s direction – Bung Moktar
"We are not waiting for tomorrow. Our preparations have been underway for a long time," said Bung - October 7, 2025

THE Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery is ready for the 17th State Election (PRN17) and optimistic that it can regain the reins of the state government.

Sabah BN chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, said that armed with vast experience in politics and administering the state, his party is actively formulating strategies and approaches that are in line with the people's wishes.

"We are not waiting for tomorrow. Our preparations have been underway for a long time. All Umno-BN machinery throughout the state is now at maximum readiness.

"I call on every division, branch and all members to ensure that the machinery is mobilized 100 percent to guarantee the victory of BN candidates throughout Sabah.

"Umno-BN is not new to this struggle. We have extensive experience in administering, developing and safeguarding the state of Sabah. This experience is our main asset that will make it easier for every machinery, candidate and leadership to carry out their duties more organized and effective.

"In facing this election, Umno-BN will formulate a strategy and approach that is in line with the current wishes of the people. Today's politics demands wisdom and sensitivity to the people's voices. We do not come with sweet words, but with a plan and tangible action," he said.

Touching on the performance of the state government led by GRS, Bung Moktar believed that the people of Sabah were able to see for themselves their alleged failure in managing the state's economic affairs, investments and development.

The failure of GRS, he said, has left many areas in Sabah still lagging behind, and he even claimed that job opportunities are also limited, in addition to the state's development policies being disorganised.

In light of the failure, the Kinabatangan MP believes that the people of Sabah will make a wise choice to choose a party and candidate that can bring about better changes for the people and the state.

“We are not coming with empty promises, but with proven capabilities and experience. We are ready to bring about better changes for the people of Sabah.

“We believe that the people of Sabah deserve to live better than today, deserve to enjoy opportunities, progress and strong political stability.

“This is the time for us to correct the course of Sabah. Umno-BN’s experience is the basis for restoring Sabah to the path of progress, stability and well-being of the people,” he said. - October 7, 2025
