A FEMALE student who was also a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidate was found dead at her home in Kuala Klawang in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan on Saturday.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief, Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said, at 11.50pm, the Kuala Klawang Police Station received a call from a medical officer at Jelebu Hospital informing about the incident involving the 17-year-old girl.
“Initial police investigations found that the victim was a school student and was found in the first room of a single-storey terrace house.
“The house was a family residence and the deceased had locked the door from the inside,” he said in a statement.
He said, further examination of the victim’s body did not find any signs of a struggle (defensive wounds) or criminal elements.
In addition, he said, there were no signs of a search or loss of the victim’s personal belongings.
“On Sunday around 10am, the post-mortem procedure was carried out. The case was classified as sudden death (SDR),” he said.
He also advised the public not to make any speculations or spread unverified information that could cause public outrage and upset the victim's family. - October 13, 2025
