POLICE confirmed that a man died after being shot several times at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, last night.

Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Shazeli Kahar said that the police received information from the public regarding the shooting incident at the petrol station at 11.13pm yesterday.

“The investigation found that the victim was a local man aged around 34 and unemployed.

“The suspect fired several shots at the front of the car and hit the victim's body.

“The victim died while receiving treatment at the hospital,” he told BuletinTV3.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code and the motive for the incident is still under investigation.

Members of the public who saw or have information about the incident are asked to come forward to assist in the investigation by contacting senior criminal investigation officer ASP Aminuddin Mahadi at 013-2104006 or the Klang Selatan IPD operations room at 03-33762222.

Earlier, a video of the incident also went viral on social media.
