Newlywed man found dead hanging from tree
The victim, who had only been married for two days, was confirmed dead at the scene.

A MAN who tied the knot just two days earlier was found dead hanging from a semambu tree near his house in Kampung Lubuk Kabu, Kuala Pegang in Baling, yesterday.

Baling District Acting Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Salimi Md. Ali said police received information regarding the incident from the public at 11.30 am.

"The 34-year-old man was said to have climbed a semambu tree before being found lifeless at a height of 4.57 metres," he said.

According to him, the victim, who had only been married for two days, was confirmed dead at the scene.

The man's body was sent to the Forensic Department of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar for an autopsy. - November 10, 2025
