A blaze at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jalan 3 in Bangi razed an entire sports equipment store, with firefighters managing to bring the situation under control within minutes.

No casualties were reported in the incident - November 14, 2025

A SPORTS equipment store at a secondary school in Bangi, Selangor was completely destroyed after a fire broke out early this morning.

Assistant Director of Operations for the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, said the department received an emergency call at 6.54am. A team from the Bangi Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by personnel from Kajang, was dispatched to the scene located about 2.5 kilometres away.

The Class A building used as the sports equipment store at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jalan 3 was entirely gutted in the incident. No victims were reported.

Firefighters succeeded in extinguishing the blaze by 7.30am.

The cause of the fire and the estimated losses are still under investigation. - November 14, 2025
