SELANGOR Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has been asked to address questions pertaining to the alleged wealth amassed by one of his aides.

This request was by made by the administrator of a new WhatsApp group - 'MB Selangor' - made up of several Selangor state assemblymen and state leaders which emerged yesterday.

The administrator identified as 'Madani' has questioned how this particular aide afforded a bungalow worth RM3 million, leads a lavish lifestyle and affords luxurious overseas trips with his family, staying in five-star hotels.

'Madani' also attached several photos of the leader while on holiday abroad with his family.

According to reports by Free Malaysia Today and Malaysiakini, 'Madani' also asked Amiruddin to explain why one person has been appointed to numerous top posts in state agencies.

"The question is, why is one person appointed to so many positions, as if there is no other qualified person in Selangor."

The menteri besar has also been asked to disclose the aide’s monthly income.

The chat group conversation also contains other allegations, including that the aide had sought “development funds” from various contracts and benefited from several district projects.

The WhatsApp group administrator also challenged the leader to file a police report so that he could reveal the evidence.

"MACC please investigate. This is the people's money. We are asking the PN assemblymen to speak up in the hall. Ask for an explanation from the menteri besar," said the administrator.

FMT and Malaysiakini have since reached out to the menteri besar for comment.

The aide when contacted, said he was unable to comment. - November 15, 2025
