Highly contested races unfold across Kinabatangan as candidates prepare for PRN17 - November 15, 2025

SABAH Barisan Nasional (BN) chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is set for a six-cornered contest in the Lamag state seat in the 17th Sabah General Election.

Bung, who is also the Kinabatangan member of parliament, will defend his Lamag seat against Johainizamshah Johari of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Mohd Saifulah Lokman of Warisan, Mazlin Madali of Perikatan Nasional (PN), Salahuddin @ Salehuddin Anoi of Parti Impian Sabah, and independent candidate Mohd Ismail Ayob.

Within the Kinabatangan parliamentary constituency, the Sukau seat will see a seven-cornered fight with BN’s Datuk Jafry Ariffin facing Datuk Juhari Janan (GRS), Pengiran Petra Pengiran Asri (PN), Azahari Rangon (Warisan), Roslan Madali (Parti Impian Sabah), Afiq Anwari Zulkifli (Parti Kebangsaan Sabah), and Nordin Damit (Perjuangan Rakyat).

Meanwhile, in Kuamut, incumbent Datuk Masiung Banah of GRS will contend with Mohina Ronnie Sidom (Upko), Norfaizah Chua (Warisan), Ted Kelvin Sudin (PIS), Jevronnie Mandek (STAR), Abu Bakar Ellah (KDM), John Sungkiang (Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah), and independent candidate Duin Bintarang. - November 15, 2025
