THE Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has reaffirmed its commitment to fully uphold the High Court of Ipoh’s decisions in the high-profile Indira Gandhi case, while stepping up efforts to locate the woman’s former husband and daughter.
Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, emphasised that all investigations are conducted in strict accordance with the rule of law and with respect for the judicial system.
“All actions in handling this case are carried out professionally, transparently, and with integrity to ensure that justice is upheld,” he said in a statement today.
Authorities are continuing to track Pathmanathan Krishnan, also known as Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, including probing claims that another individual may be using the suspect’s identity to access government aid programmes such as Budi Madani 95 and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA).
“Checks are also being conducted in collaboration with the Malaysian Immigration Department to verify the current status of the Special Travel Restriction imposed on the individual,” Khalid added.
The case has been managed through 18 court sessions at the High Court of Ipoh since 2021, with the next hearing scheduled for 27 February next year.
Khalid further cautioned the public against speculating or sharing unverified information that could compromise the investigation.
“PDRM also urges anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward and assist the investigation at the nearest police station,” he said. - November 26, 2025
