A 21-YEAR-OLD man suffered injuries to his face and head after losing control of his car and colliding with a house along the Kuala Berang–Tajin–Telemong road on Tuesday evening.

Hulu Terengganu District Police Chief, Superintendent Sharudin Abdul Wahab, reported that the accident occurred at approximately 8.30 pm while the man was driving a Proton Preve from Telemong towards Tanjung Putat.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle suddenly lost control upon reaching the location, veering off to the left side of the road and colliding with a house in Kampung Chepoh, Telemong,” he said.

The driver, who works as a factory supervisor, was initially treated at Hulu Terengganu Hospital before being referred to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) for further medical care.

Sharudin described the extent of the damage, noting that the car sustained significant front-end destruction, while the house suffered structural damage, including a collapsed roof and walls.

Further investigations revealed that the driver did not hold a valid driving licence.

“The vehicle will be sent to the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) for further examination, and the case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” said Sharudin. - December 24, 2025
