PARTI Amanah Nasional (Amanah) has sworn to fully support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim complete his term as speculations mount that Umno may withdraw support from the Madani national unity government.

Its secretary-general Faiz Fadzil, the son of the late PAS president Datuk Fadzil Noor said that Amanah made a conclusive decision at a party meeting to reject any attempts to launch another backdoor government takeover.

Saying that stability is the ultimate end game of politics, Faiz told journalists that the sweeping reforms disclosed by Anwar, including limiting the term of prime ministership to two, were positive steps to underscore stability.

"We want to reform our institutions and grow the economy in such uncertain times globally. We need to be united and strong for each other," said Faiz.

Fazid said that Amanah wants Malaysians to judge the capabilities and commitment of the national unity government, and reject the sentiments of race and religion, which some quarters are peddling to benefit only them.

"They use polemic for a narrow vision of self - interests."

Faiz also called on all members of the unity government to consolidate so they can be the preferred choice of the voters when the next general election is called.

He also called for better collaboration and togetherness among all components so the policies announced can be implemented without any obstacles.

"We need to involve our grassroots to carry the message of what we are trying to achieve in the country for all people."

Political stability is the key towards growing the economy, said Faiz. - January 6, 2025.
