PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has publicly conveyed his heartfelt prayers for Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, expressing hopes for the Sultan’s sustained health and protection as the monarch prepares for upcoming medical treatment.

In a Facebook post, Anwar shared that he had received news of the Sultan’s scheduled medical care and took the opportunity to wish him continued well-being under divine guidance.

“I pray that His Majesty is granted enduring health and remains under the protection and mercy of Allah SWT,” he wrote.

The Prime Minister also expressed his hope that the Sultan would continue to govern Brunei Darussalam with wisdom and prudence. “May His Majesty remain steadfast in ruling the Nation of Brunei Darussalam with full wisdom and sagacity,” Anwar added.

The message reflects ongoing goodwill between Malaysia and Brunei, highlighting the significance of personal and diplomatic bonds between the two neighbouring nations in Southeast Asia. - January 14, 2026
