PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged Muslims across the country to intensify zikir and prayers, seeking forgiveness and protection from hardship and calamities, in conjunction with the observance of Nisfu Syaaban.

He said the blessed night serves as an important reminder that the arrival of Ramadan Al-Mubarak is drawing near, and that Muslims should begin preparing themselves spiritually.

“There is nothing more meaningful than thorough spiritual preparation. We will once again enter the madrasah of Ramadan with the aspiration that our acts of worship will be better than before,” he said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

Anwar stressed that acts of worship performed consistently not only bring inner peace but also help nurture and purify the heart from feelings of hatred and envy.

The Prime Minister also called on Muslims to reflect on the supplication in Surah Al-Hashr, verse 10, and to pray that Allah SWT removes feelings of jealousy and resentment among fellow Muslims. - February 3, 2026
