A CYBERSECURITY team has spent the past week on high alert, working to keep government and private-sector systems safe from cyberattacks.

The demanding assignment was shared by Threads user @hanamansor, who posted a photograph of her team’s operations room and described their efforts to monitor and respond to the threats.

“My team has been stationed here for a week to deal with cyberattacks.”

“May Allah ease our team’s efforts. May the country and all of us remain protected. For the nation,” she wrote.

Her post drew prayers and messages of encouragement from social media users.

Responding to the comments, Hana clarified that her team were not hackers.

Rather, they were responsible for upgrading and maintaining government and private-sector systems while keeping watch for attempts to breach them.

“Hi everyone, we are not hackers. My team is responsible for upgrading and maintaining government and private-sector systems.”

“We are on standby to make sure none of their systems are hacked,” she explained.

She also thanked the public for their support, saying the messages had given her colleagues added encouragement to carry on with their work.

“Thank you for all the prayers. My team feels even more motivated to protect the systems after reading everyone’s comments.

“We never thought of ourselves as heroes. We are just doing our job,” she added. - November 8, 2026
