SEPUTEH MP Teresa Kok lost about RM2,000 after her vehicle was believed to have been broken into while she was jogging at Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara on Sunday.

Kok said the incident was discovered at around 7 pm when she returned to her vehicle, which was parked in the area at around 6.15 pm.

“I found that the front passenger window of the vehicle had been broken, and the handbag placed in the footwell of the seat was missing.

“I suffered a loss of about RM2,000 involving cash, including angpau money, in addition to losing my identity card, credit card and several other important documents,” she said in a statement on Facebook.

Kok said that following the incident, she filed a report at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail Police Station.

“The police officer on duty handled my report very professionally, and then the Investigating Officer came to take my statement.

“The forensic unit also arrived shortly after to take photos and fingerprints on the vehicle. I left the police station at about 9.30 pm,” she said.

Meanwhile, Kok hopes that the Kuala Lumpur City Hall can consider installing closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the park’s parking area for public safety. – February 23, 2026
