KUALA LUMPUR – An editor from the China Press newspaper has confirmed that he has tested positive for Covid-19 today, reported Malaysiakini.

The editor is based at the paper's Bangsar office here.

He said he attended a gathering on December 26 with MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong, who had also tested positive.

In a statement issued yesterday, MCA immediately shut the office of Chong's department on Level 7 of Wisma MCA for sanitisation works.

MCA had also arranged for all staff of the department to undergo Covid-19 tests.

Wisma MCA's management is also carrying out sanitisation works for the entire building in accordance with the pandemic prevention guidelines and SOPs by the Health Ministry, particularly for public areas. – The Vibes, January 1, 2021
