Chegu Bard crashes into pillar while avoiding animal crossing road in Rembau

PORT Dickon Bersatu chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin or Chegu Bard, was involved in an accident believed to have occurred while avoiding an animal at Kilometre 7.3 of Jalan Chengkau–Pilin–Lubuk Cina in Rembau, last night.

Rembau District Deputy Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Azmi Ali said the incident occurred at about 12.30 am when the victim was driving a 4WD Toyota Hilux on his way from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Rembau towards Kampung Lada Chengkau.

"The victim tried to avoid an unidentified animal that suddenly crossed from the right to the left, but skidded and hit a highway bridge pillar.

"The victim, however, was not injured," he said.

Meanwhile, Chegu Bard, through sharing on social media, expressed gratitude for not suffering any injuries. – February 26, 2026
