NEGERI Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun is believed to have sought an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, today following a state leadership crisis.

This follows an earlier announcement by all 14 Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen that they have unanimously withdrawn their support for the Aminuddin-led state government.

According to reports in the New Straits Times, Aminuddin, who attended an awards ceremony at SMK Datuk Muhammad Yusof earlier today, reportedly left the event in haste at 11 am to meet the ruler, who is believed to be in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, DAP state assemblymen (ADUNs) are reportedly meeting at the party headquarters near Kemayan Square later today to discuss the state's administrative crisis.

They are expected to discuss the matter at the party level before meeting with Aminuddin.

DAP secretary-general and Chennah assemblyman Anthony Loke was seen arriving at around 2 pm before being escorted up to the office to chair the meeting.

Anthony briefly informed that his party would meet with Aminuddin at the Menteri Besar's official residence immediately after the meeting.

The political turmoil follows a controversial move by the Undang Luak (territorial chiefs), who reportedly declared the removal of Tuanku Muhriz at the Balai Undang Luak Sungai Ujong.

In response to the customary dispute, Aminuddin had previously stated that the Negri Sembilan Council of Justice and Law advised the Luak Sungai Ujong to accept the termination of Datuk Mubarak Dohak as the Datuk Klana Petra. – April 27, 2026
