MEMBER of Parliament for Kubang Kerian, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, denied allegations that he had failed to pay the rent for the Parliament Service Centre (PKPKK) in Pasir Tumboh, insisting that all payments had been made within the stipulated period.

He said the accusations that have gone viral over the past few days are slanderous and not based on facts.

According to him, he had previously explained the issue, but the allegations continue to be spread by certain parties.

"I am not interested in spending time and energy prolonging this nonsense because there are many major issues involving the interests of the people, which are a priority."

"However, I must state clearly that all the allegations and accusations are slander," said the PAS deputy president.

According to him, the rent payments for the period from January to August 2025 were made to the previous premises owner at a rate of between RM1,800 and RM2,000 per month.

He said that starting September 2025, a new agreement was signed with the new premises owner and the rent rate was set at RM2,200 per month.

“The rent payment for September 2025 to last April has been fully paid according to the payment records available,” he said.

He also explained that the rent payment for May was not made separately because it was deducted from the excess deposit held by the property owner.

According to him, the move was made on the advice of a lawyer following an order to vacate the premises, which allegedly did not comply with the terms of the rental agreement.

“The May rental payment was deducted from the excess deposit held as recommended by the lawyer due to the landlord’s order to vacate the premises, which did not comply with the rental agreement,” he said.

In this regard, he hoped that all parties spreading the allegations would stop to avoid confusion among the public.

Ibrahim also announced that he had instructed his lawyer to take appropriate action to clear his and the party’s good name.

“Although some have apologised, the slander spread will continue to be read and circulated.

“I hope this matter is stopped,” he said. – May 31, 2026
