DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has indicated that he may step down as Negeri Sembilan DAP chairman following the party’s setback in the state election.

Loke, who lost the Chennah state seat based on unofficial results, said he was considering the move as a form of taking responsibility for the party’s performance.

In a video uploaded by Sin Chew Daily on Facebook, Loke acknowledged the defeat and said he accepted the outcome.

The Chennah seat was won by Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Siow Kong Choon, who defeated Loke with a majority of 688 votes, according to unofficial results.

Loke’s defeat was among the biggest upsets of the Negeri Sembilan polls, with the DAP leader having previously retained the seat with a 2,200-vote majority in the previous state election.
