PARTI Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has confirmed that it has not received any resignation letter from its Members of Parliament, dismissing speculation that one of its lawmakers is preparing to leave the party or vacate their seat.
PKR secretary-general Datuk Fuziah Salleh said there had been no such resignation as of Friday.
“So far, there has been none,” she said briefly when contacted by Sinar Harian.
The speculation emerged amid heightened attention on several PKR MPs who have recently been seen as increasingly at odds with the party leadership.
Three PKR MPs had previously taken positions that differed publicly from the party leadership, including criticising several decisions and aspects of its direction, fuelling speculation over their future in the party.
The lawmakers had also alleged that access to the MyKhas system, used to manage applications for Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) and special constituency allocations, had been restricted at their offices.
The Government, however, clarified that allocations for the constituencies had not been withdrawn, but were instead being implemented through the Prime Minister’s Department’s Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) and relevant agencies without being channelled through the MPs’ offices.
As of yesterday, no PKR MP had made any official announcement regarding resignation from the party or relinquishing their parliamentary seat. - August 8, 2026
