A 26-YEAR-OLD Bangladeshi man was taken to Kajang Hospital for psychiatric evaluation after causing a disturbance at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 2 on Sept 17.
KLIA district police chief Asst Comm Ravi Munusamy said the incident occurred at about 4.40pm when the man allegedly shouted loudly and disturbed other passengers.
“The suspect began shouting loudly and disturbing other passengers. Airport security personnel responded swiftly to the scene and brought him to the Terminal 1 police station,” ACP Ravi said.
He said police found that the man was scheduled to fly back to Bangladesh at 10.20pm that day.
However, the suspect remained agitated while at the police station and continued to behave aggressively.
“He was subsequently transported to the psychiatric ward at Kajang Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. The relevant embassy has been notified of the matter,” he said. - September 20, 2026
