After Agong’s nod for emergency, PM to address nation

KUALA LUMPUR – Following Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s consent to an emergency being declared, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will give a televised address to the nation at 11am today.

The king has consented to an emergency being implemented, to be in effect until August 1.

The order could end earlier if Covid-19 infections are effectively controlled and lowered, said a statement from Istana Negara. – The Vibes, January 12, 2021
