KUALA LUMPUR – The Health Ministry has refuted the veracity of a news report, headlined “Covid-19: Pelitup Muka Jenis Fabrik Punca Dijangkiti” (Covid-19: Fabric Face Masks Cause of Infection), that has gone viral on social media.

The headline is inaccurate, it said.

A fake news notification was issued by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry’s Quick Response Team at 12.45pm today.

The Health Ministry urges the public to refer to its verified social media accounts for accurate information. – Bernama, January 15, 2021
