20 Miri Hospital staff infected with Covid-19

MIRI – Twenty Miri hospital health and medical staff have been infected with Covid-19 while treating another 238 positive patients.

State Health Director Dr Chin Zin Hing said the affected 20 staff are mostly from the emergency unit.

“We are carrying out tests on about 200 close contacts of these 20 infected staff now,” he said in Kuching during a media briefing.

Miri Hospital has already been declared off-limits to the public and it will only attend to emergency cases.
