PAPAR – As of yesterday, 46,046 Sabahans have received their RM300 one-off cash aid, costing the state government RM13.8 million.

The sum is part of the RM97 million allocation for the state’s cash aid 2.0, which the state government aims to give 323,334 Sabahans.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor said the aid is aimed to assist Sabahans affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The cash aid 2.0 has been approved to assist those troubled by the second wave of the movement control order,” he said during a working visit here today.

Hajiji said the Sabah government is aware of the trouble faced by the people due to the lockdown.

He said those who did not make it into the Sabah Prihatin 1.0 cash aid list can appeal to be a recipient. – The Vibes, February 8, 2021
