Sabah gives green light to inter-district travel

KOTA KINABALU – Inter-district travel will be allowed in Sabah’s six zones from Friday till Monday.

However, inter-zone travel is still barred.

The six zones are as follows: 

Zone 1: Kota Kinabalu, Kota Belud, Ranau, Tuaran, Penampang, Putatan and Papar;

Zone 2: Beaufort, Kuala Penyu and Sipitang;  

Zone 3: Kudat, Kota Marudu and Pitas; 

Zone 4: Sandakan, Beluran, Kinabatangan and Tongod; 

Zone 5: Tawau, Semporna, Lahad Datu, Kunak and Kalabakan; and,

Zone 6: Keningau Tambunan and Tenom.

State Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said under the recovery movement control order, premises are allowed to host social events at half capacity and with strict standard operating procedures in place.

Among the events allowed to be held are weddings, engagements, birthdays, reunions and retreats.
