4 more Covid-19 deaths in Sarawak

MIRI – Sarawak saw four more Covid-19 fatalities today, bringing the death toll to 145.

The confirmed deaths were a 72-year-old man at Kanowit Hospital, and three men aged 61, 73 and 82, respectively, at Sibu Hospital.

The state Disaster Management Committee secretariat in a press statement expressed condolences to their families.

There are also 429 new positive cases in the state.

Meradong district recorded 82 new cases, followed by Sibu (62), Bintulu (58), Kuching (54), Mambong (36), Miri (23), and Kapit (21), with other districts logging below 10 cases each.

The secretariat said the three new clusters detected today are the Sg Lemongong cluster in Meradong, Duranda cluster in Serian and Taman Mesra Bako cluster in Kuching.
