KOTA KINABALU – Before Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor’s Covid-positive status, he has been out in public many times since winning the state polls last month.

After his win, he was seen addressing reporters inside a crowded function room at the Magellan Sutera Harbour at midnight September 27.

On September 29, Hajiji was sworn-in along with Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, Datuk Joachim Gunsalam, Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun and Datuk Jahid Jahim.

Later that day, he visited the chief minister’s office at the State Administrative Complex near Likas here.

On October 1, Hajiji entered his office to attend a state cabinet meeting at 10am and later held a press conference.

On October 5, he attended a closed-door briefing on the state Finance Ministry. Also present were state Finance Minister II Masidi, state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, state Public Service Department director Datuk Datu Rosmadi Datu Sulai and the Finance Ministry permanent secretary Rusdin Riman.

However, Hajiji was not seen on the ground when a major flood affected Sulaman, near Tuaran district.

His Covid-19 positive confirmation came late last night. It was believed he was hospitalised on Thursday at the Queen Elizabeth hospital here after being exposed to a staff positive for Covid-19.

Hajiji’s family members were also screened on the same day.

Yesterday, the state secretary office said Hajiji was in quarantine before his positive status came to light. – The Vibes, October 10, 2020
